I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
